On that eventful day, we were able to cater to the medical needs of about 800 patients from participating barangays around CKSC and in other parts of Tondo, Manila. Services offered on that day were free circumcision or tuli, with about 65 successful operations performed by surgeons of DZMM. About 160 reading glasses given away by Ideal Vision. DZMM also provided free lugaw to all the patients as part of its feeding program. They likewise conducted reading and learning seminars for the younger participants. Meanwhile, the doctors of Caloocan Filipino-Chinese Charity Clinic provided free medical consultation and gave away free medicine to the patients.Their dentists also performed about 30 tooth extractions.
On behalf of CKSC Batch '82, we would like to thank Mr. Robert Ong and his team of doctors and dentists at Caloocan Filipino-Chinese Charity Clinic. A big thank you also to DZMM Foundation led by Mr. Zaldy Naguit and Paul Bea, as well as their team of hardworking surgeons, educators and other volunteers. Lastly, thank you to all the officers of CKSC Batch '82, especially past batch president Melchor Te, without whose assistance this mission would not have been successful.
